On August 2, 2024, Aurora Innovation, Inc., a self-driving vehicle technology company, announced the closing of its underwritten upsized public offering for total gross proceeds of approximately $483 million, before deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and other offering expenses. In the public offering, Aurora sold 134,166,667 shares of its Class A common stock at $3.60 per share, which includes the full exercise by the underwriters of their option to purchase up to 17,500,000 additional shares.

On June 28, 2024, Dida Inc. (Dida) successfully listed on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (SEHK), raising gross proceeds of approximately HK$234.5 million (US$30.0 million) from its IPO (or approximately HK$269.7 million [US$34.5 million] if the underwriters exercise the over-allotment option in full, with market capitalization of approximately US$800 million). Dida’s Hong Kong public offering tranche was more than 113 times over-subscribed, which triggered the mandatory reallocation such that the Hong Kong public offering tranche increased to 50 percent of this offering. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati acted as Dida’s U.S. and Hong Kong counsel in the IPO and SEHK listing.

On February 20, 2024, Niron Magnetics, the company pioneering the world's first high-performance, rare earth-free permanent magnets, announced it has received $25 million in new strategic funding. The round was led by Samsung Ventures, and included new investors Allison Ventures, the venture capital arm of Allison Transmission, and Magna. In addition, current investors Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community and University of Minnesota participated in the round joining Niron’s impressive list of investors which includes GM Ventures, Stellantis Ventures, Volvo Cars Tech Fund, and more. On September 26, 2023, Gringo, a Brazilian start-up trying to create the "driver's super app," announced it has raised $30 million in a Series C round that will accelerate the growth of its user base and allow new services to be plugged into the platform. The fundraising was led by Valor Capital and had the participation of all previous investors, including Kaszek Ventures, ONEVC, and VEF, a London-based management company. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised Valor Capital on the transaction.
Brazil has over 75 million drivers, and Gringo wants to be the super app support for all of their automotive and insurance needs. The app enables drivers to manage their car’s documentation and services in one place, including the payment of fines, taxes and licensing, contracting insurance, and loans using the vehicle as collateral. The new funding will enable the company to expand its automotive credit and insurance products and introduce new features.
