With a concentration in leasing and subleasing, Jim has extensive experience with a broad range of leasing topics, including work letter and construction issues and expansion rights.
In addition to his specialized experience in leasing, Jim's practice includes the acquisition and financing of specialty facilities, manufacturing facilities, and headquarters and campus properties for the firm's corporate clients, and the acquisition, financing, and leasing of office properties for entrepreneurial individuals and real estate investors. Jim has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating all types of agreements related to the ongoing operation and management of real property, including easements, development agreements, architect and construction agreements, listing agreements, and management agreements. He also regularly assists the firm's clients in due diligence investigations and negotiations ancillary to corporate mergers and acquisitions.
Jim's practice also includes handling the real estate aspects of the development, financing, sale, and acquisition of energy and infrastructure projects, and he has experience representing both borrowers and lenders in renewable energy project finance transactions.
Prior to joining the firm, Jim was an associate in the real estate practice group of the New York office of Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP.
