Dr. Tyler Baguley is a patent agent in the San Diego office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. He assists with the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the fields of chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology.
Prior to joining the firm, Tyler was a postdoctoral fellow on the medicinal chemistry team at the California Institute for Biomedical Research in La Jolla. In this role, he focused on the design and synthesis of organic small molecules to treat a variety of disease indications such as diabetes, fibrosis, and infectious disease. During his doctoral studies at the University of California, Berkeley, he developed inhibitors of protein tyrosine phosphatases, as well as new synthetic methodologies. He has co-authored several scientific publications and is a co-inventor on three U.S. patent applications.
