Peter assists green ammonia, cement, and hydrogen developers; carbon capture projects; solar and energy storage companies; distributed energy resource aggregators; and EV charging platforms to develop commercial documents, negotiate offtake agreements, and finance first projects.
Peter helped pioneer corporate virtual power purchase agreements, having represented early adopters like Google, Amazon, and Salesforce on major renewable energy transactions as well as emergent transaction platforms like Edison Energy and LevelTen Energy.
Peter was recognized in the 2013-2024 editions of Chambers Global: The World's Leading Lawyers for Business as a leader in the field of Renewables & Alternative Energy Projects.
Peter Mostow is a partner in the Seattle office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he represents renewable energy and clean technology companies on project development, offtake, purchase and sale, and finance. Peter represents solar, wind, energy storage, and biomass project sponsors in site acquisition, power transmission, and utility and corporate power purchase agreements; distributed energy developers and aggregators in designing key commercial and financing structures; and producers of new technologies such as green hydrogen, carbon capture, energy storage, and renewable fuels in negotiating key commercial transactions. He applies his knowledge of project development to assist clients with diligence, negotiations, and legal opinions on a variety of transactions including joint ventures, asset and membership interest acquisitions, and project development and finance.
Following law school, from 1993-94, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Betty B. Fletcher of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in Seattle, Washington.
