Parris Greenwood is a law clerk in the San Francisco office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he focuses on antitrust and competition law. His work encompasses a broad array of civil and criminal antitrust matters, including litigation, government investigations, mergers and acquisitions, and business counseling.
Parris started his career as a paralegal for Axinn, Veltrop & Harkrider LLP, a boutique law firm focused on high-stakes antitrust and intellectual property matters. There, he served as one of the two lead paralegals supporting a team of 20 lawyers representing Google in investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice, State Attorney General, and U.S. Congress into its advertising technology business. He also worked as an analyst on the team, reporting on the latest developments in AdTech and preparing regulatory submissions and other materials explaining and analyzing the industry.
Prior to joining Wilson Sonsini, Parris also worked at Blend, a public fintech company providing a digital lending platform for banks and lenders. At Blend, Parris worked on negotiating and drafting contracts, analyzing company trademarks, and regulatory compliance matters.
At UC Berkeley School of Law, Parris graduated with pro bono honors with highest distinction. There, he was the student counselor in the Workers' Rights Disability Law Clinic and a student advocate in the East Bay Dreamer's Project. During law school, Parris externed at both the United States District Court, Southern District of California, in the chambers of the Honorable Cynthia Bashant, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in the chambers of the Honorable M. Margaret McKeown in San Diego, California. In addition, Parris was also a Google Legal Summer Institute Scholar and received three certificates: Interdisciplinary Graduate Certificate in Real Estate (IGCRE); J.D. Law & Technology certificate; & J.D. Business Law Certificate.
