Michael McLaughlin is an associate in the Washington, D.C., office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he is a member of the firm’s antitrust practice. His work focuses on antitrust litigation and competition concerns in mergers and acquisitions, including in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and communications industries.
Prior to joining the firm, Michael was a research analyst at the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF), a leading think tank focusing on technology policy. At ITIF, Michael conducted research and analysis concerning digital platforms, e-government systems, and artificial intelligence, and he had multiple speaking engagements, including testimony before the California State Assembly’s Privacy and Consumer Protection Committee.
At Georgetown Law, Michael was president of the National Security Law Society, a law fellow in the Legal Research and Writing Program, a student advocate in the Civil Litigation Clinic, and a teaching assistant for the Computer Programming for Lawyers course. During law school, he interned for the Department of Justice’s Foreign Investment Review Section.
