Magnus Gan is a technology transactions associate in the San Diego office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. He represents life sciences clients across a variety of technologies, from DNA origami to proteomics and nanobiotherapeutics. His practice focuses on intellectual property licensing and commercial transactions, including collaboration and partnership agreements, manufacturing, supply and distribution agreements, research and development collaborations, sponsored research arrangements, and clinical trial agreements.
Prior to joining the firm, Magnus represented Fortune 100 software and technology clients in SaaS and other types of technology services agreements and commercial transactions. Magnus also prepared and prosecuted software patents, provided strategic patent counseling and written opinions, and prepared petitions for inter partes review.
Prior to law school, Magnus worked for Shell at its largest wholly-owned oil refinery in the world. He performed multi-disciplinary roles in inspection engineering, management systems, and process engineering as part of Shell’s leadership development program.
