Dr. Kelsey MacConaghy is a patent agent in the San Francisco office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where she focuses on patent prosecution and due diligence matters related to biotechnology and clean technology.
Kelsey received her Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, where she investigated photonic crystal hydrogels for biosensing applications. Her dissertation focused on the development and characterization of polymeric materials, biomolecule conjugation and characterization, and biosensor development. Prior to joining the firm, Kelsey worked in a variety of industries, including the semiconductor, high purity gas, and pharmaceutical sectors. Her areas of technical expertise include thin film processing, upstream and downstream bioprocessing, biofuels, and sensor development.
