Erin Delaney is an associate in the Washington, D.C., office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where she is a member of the firm’s privacy and cybersecurity practice. Her work focuses on advising clients about their federal and state privacy, data protection, and cybersecurity compliance obligations. She also has experience assisting clients in responding to civil investigative demands from the Federal Trade Commission regarding their privacy and data security practices.
Prior to joining the firm, Erin served as a law clerk to the Honorable William A. Fletcher of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Before attending law school, Erin worked in the technology industry. As a member of Dropbox’s legal team, she implemented new and evolving privacy laws and regulations. After Dropbox, Erin served as a product manager with the Defense Digital Service where she led engineering teams developing software to support the Department of Defense and NATO.
During law school, she assisted professors Peter Menell and Tejas Narechania with their research into privacy, intellectual property, advertising, and federal regulatory models. While in law school, Erin also worked on the Business Affairs team at Lucasfilm drafting talent, production, and licensing agreements for feature films and streaming video on demand content.
