Diya Jajal is an associate in the Austin office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where her practice focuses on privacy and data security. She advises clients ranging from start-ups to multinational public companies on how to use and manage risks with respect to data, including in the context of mergers, acquisitions, and commercial transactions. Her practice includes negotiating privacy and data security provisions in commercial transactions, preparing privacy policies, and engaging in privacy and data security due diligence.       

While in law school, Diya was a Cybersecurity Fellow, where she focused on the interdisciplinary study of cybersecurity, privacy, and data protection. She was also an intern at an aerospace company and a boutique law firm, specializing in emerging growth companies, entrepreneurs, and investors.

Prior to law school, she worked in global operations and strategy at a major technology company.

The International Association of Privacy Professionals has designated Diya as a Certified Information Privacy Professional.
