Bryan Berlin Edwards is a patent agent in the San Diego office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he is a member of the firm’s patents and innovations practice. Bryan has a strong background in electrical engineering and physics. His practice focuses on patent prosecution and strategizing for clients in cleantech, medical device, bioinformatics, and machine learning fields.
As an undergraduate, Bryan was stationed in the Arctic to research engineering solutions to protect communities and their residents from avalanches. His research experience contributed to his interest in the renewable energy field and inspired his undergraduate thesis in designing and building organic photovoltaic cells as well as his graduate research across various energy systems.
Bryan has a passion for start-ups and has also worked in software development to bring software from conceptualization, through development and testing, and ultimately to market. His additional industry experience includes radio frequency engineering and high-power electrical systems engineering.
