The firm is proud and honored to announce that Wilson Sonsini received the Iranian American Bar Association’s (IABA's) 2021 National Pro Bono Award at the association's 7th Annual National Conference.
This year, the pro bono award was dedicated to Wilson Sonsini for doing groundbreaking work on racial justice advocacy and litigation. IABA highlighted the firm's efforts to advance racial justice with nonprofit organization partners, pledge of a $15 million increase in pro bono legal services spread over three years dedicated to racial justice and civil rights work, and establishment of a Juneteenth 2021 Day of Service, among other projects and service.
IABA is the only national association of Iranian-American judges, attorneys, legal scholars, and law students in the U.S. with over 1,500 members in eight chapters nationwide. IABA’s mission is to: educate and inform the community about legal issues of interest to Iranian Americans; protect and advance the legal rights of the Iranian-American and other minority communities; and foster and promote the achievements of Iranian-American lawyers and other attorneys. IABA is nonprofit, non-religious, and apolitical.
