On October 20, 2023, Lawdragon published its fourth edition of its Leading Dealmakers in America guide. The 2024 guide recognizes attorneys that have played major roles in "creating multi-billion dollar mergers and other deals that change the course of industries" and work "on a global scale with staggering level of complexity where success comes down to the details of the deal."
Lawdragon's selection process includes extensive research into each guide, with an emphasis on recent matters, submissions, and work with editorial advisors in each area. Selection for the guide typically requires a lawyer to have shown outstanding skills for at least 15 years in practice, with extremely rare exceptions. Similarly, nearly all will be partners in their law practice or hold a designation that indicates the regard of those with whom they practice. Leadership within their practice in a firm and or in relevant bar organizations is considered.
