On September 9, 2020, Panther Labs announced it has raised $15 million in a Series A financing led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from S28 Capital, Innovation Endeavors, and Fathom Capital. The latest round of funding will allow Panther Labs to accelerate development of its open source security platform designed as an alternative to legacy SIEMs. The investment brings the company's total funding to $20.5 million. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati represented Panther Labs in the transaction.
Panther Labs was founded in 2018 by former Airbnb security alumni Jack Naglieri. With this round of funding, Panther will invest in key functions including sales, marketing, security, and engineering, with additional features coming to make its platform smarter, more portable, and easier to use.
