On June 28, 2022, Current Foods, a California-based start-up of plant-based seafood, announced it has raised $18 million in seed financing. The round was co-led by the Managing Partner at GreatPoint Ventures Ray Lane, and Union Grove Venture Partners with participation from Electric Feel Ventures, Astanor Ventures, Chris Paul, and Tenacity. The investment will be used to accelerate distribution and product offerings domestically and internationally.
