On December 5, 2023, Wilson Sonsini associate Nora Crawford was named the recipient of the Delaware Court of Chancery’s award for ad litem service to the court. Nora has worked on a pro bono basis as an attorney ad litem for three years, handling a total of nine cases.
“Ms. Crawford has distinguished herself by her willingness to take even the most difficult cases and by her consistently thorough, detailed, and meticulously edited reports,” said Court of Chancery Magistrate Selena E. Molina. “The Court is thankful and grateful for Ms. Crawford’s service and advocacy.”
Attorneys ad litem are attorneys appointed by the Court of Chancery in guardianship cases to represent the best interests of persons with disabilities. They provide an immeasurable benefit to the court, working largely behind the scenes without meaningful compensation for their efforts in sensitive matters affecting the personal rights of Delawareans. In light of the invaluable role that attorneys ad litem provide to the court and Delawareans, the court determined to annually honor an attorney ad litem who has gone above and beyond in service to the court.
