In July 2024, San Diego Business Journal named Wilson Sonsini’s Kassandra Castillo among its 2024 “40 Under 40” finalists in a special supplement. The publication honors young professionals who are creating impact and leaving a positive mark on the San Diego community.

Kassandra is a corporate partner in the firm’s San Diego office, where she advises emerging life sciences companies and investment funds as they bring cutting-edge therapeutics to market. She joined Wilson Sonsini after graduating from USD Law School and was elevated to partner within eight years of practice. With expertise in private company venture financing transactions, Kassandra has advised Novo Holdings as lead investor in 15+ multimillion-dollar transactions, including a $103 million financing of Reunion Neuroscience; SR One, Norwest Venture Partners, and Delos Capital on their investment in Zenas BioPharma’s $200 million financing; and Emerging San Diego company Tempo Therapeutics on its $12 million series A financing.

As an engaged leader within the 1,000-plus-lawyer firm, Kassandra spent two years as co-chair of Wilson Sonsini’s associates committee and currently serves as a San Diego hiring partner on the firm’s law school recruiting committee.
