Wilson Sonsini partner Gary Greenstein has been named among Billboard’s 2021 Top Music Lawyers, marking the fifth consecutive year he has received this recognition.

As in previous years, Gary was honored in the Talent and Litigation category. The accompanying profile references Gary’s representation of tech giants such as Google, streaming service Pandora, and Feed Media Group, which aims to help businesses improve user experiences with music. The publication also mentions Gary’s representation of artist-friendly music marketplace Bandcamp, which stood out during the pandemic for waiving its revenue share in favor of artists for all sales on the first Friday of each month in an acknowledgement of the hardships brought about by the lack of touring opportunities.

According to Billboard, a leading publication covering the music, video, and home entertainment business, the attorneys chosen for the “Top Music Lawyers” list were nominated by their firms and peers and selected by the publication’s editors. In addition to Talent and Litigation, other categories of recognition include Major Music Groups, Streaming, Live, Music Publishing, and Performing Rights.
