On July 10, 2017, Advanced Microgrid Solutions (AMS), a company pioneering the use of advanced energy storage for energy management and utility services, announced that it has raised more than $34 million in a Series B round of financing. The round was led by Energy Impact Partners, Southern Company, and DBL Partners, with participation from GE Ventures, AGL Energy Limited, and Macquarie Capital, as well as reinvestment by other early investors. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati represented AMS in the transaction.
According to a press release, AMS will use the new funding to scale deployment of its Armada building-to-grid DER optimization platform and to expand into new markets.
The Wilson Sonsini team that represented AMS in the transaction included Randy Lewis, Carlos Ellerbe, Manja Sachet, and Peter Mostow.
