Virtual
Join us for a two part program. Vern Norviel, partner at Wilson Sonsini and one of Silicon Valley's top intellectual property attorneys, will highlight mistakes made by entrepreneurs that can destroy a company's future.
The IP talk will be followed by an interactive briefing on UCSF's acclaimed online class, Global Life Sciences/Healthcare Entrepreneurship Course: Virtual Master Class Direct from Silicon Valley. We will outline the content and benefits of this 10 week, part time course for professionals that teaches business concepts for life science/healthcare startups. Taught by Silicon Valley practitioners, not academics, we cover elements of a business plan: assessing if your science/technology can be the basis for a company, business models, building the startup team, intellectual property, FDA, investors and much more.
The Course Director will be joined by a recent alum/entrepreneur to answer questions from a participant's viewpoint.
