Over the last four years, regulators have made major changes to rules surrounding foreign direct investment (in particular, CFIUS), export controls, sanctions regimes, supply chains/procurement, and potential foreign espionage. These changes in turn have altered the ways technology companies consider doing business with international partners. Now, at the beginning of a new administration, technology companies have no idea what to expect when it comes to seeking foreign investment, considering foreign expansion, pursuing foreign supply chain partnerships, and preparing for other forms of international engagement. Our speakers will bring both law firm and company perspectives to the questions of (a) how to quickly spot potential issues in these areas, ranging from CFIUS to sanctions, and (b) what to expect from the Biden administration.
