With the various opportunities and challenges presented by the world's growing population and the need for resources, science-based industries present an interesting and unique aperture into the future. Two such industries are the burgeoning areas of Nuclear Fusion and Space Exploration. Both industries are based on decades of public R&D and are recently gaining ground in the private sector.
