JAMES J. KILLMOND
James J. Killmond is Of Counsel in the Palo Alto office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he specializes in the representation of investment fund sponsors in fund formation matters and associated operational and regulatory activities.
His practice includes organizing sponsor entities, preparing investment fund offering documents, negotiating partnership and side agreements with investors, structuring investment transaction vehicles, and documenting investment subscription processes. James regularly advises clients on related Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act regulatory matters.
James also has represented corporate issuers and underwriters and has experience with equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, commercial agreements, securities compliance, and general corporate representation.
Prior to joining the firm, James was an associate in Latham & Watkins' investment funds practice. He previously served as vice president and associate general counsel at Trust Company of the West, an asset management firm.
From 1999 to 2000, James was a law clerk to the Honorable Samuel A. Alito, Jr., of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.EDUCATION:
